From King Size Bed Skirt to Toddler Size Twirl Skirt!
June 30, 2008
Wow, my 3rd post in one night! Well if I don’t post it now who knows when it will happen
.
So there was this huge Lions Club sale this weekend & their sheets & stuff were cheap. Of course, me being me, I look at them as fabric instead! Anyways I got a king size dust ruffle/bed skirt that was the flat un-gathered style for cheap that hadn’t been used! So what do I do? Cut off the 2 long sides, gather them on my serger… attach to drop waist band… add elastic & TADA!
Its just a single layer, but surprisingly very full! I think its a size 4/5… its 20.5″ waist unstretched & 16″ long. Anyways I am very pleased & will have 2 out of the deal! I am trying to decide if I should swap them for the holiday swap or keep them… the twins will grow into them in 3 or 4 years

Well done!
I love remakes…there is something very satisfying about turning something we don’t use into something useful.
I bet the toddler who wears the skirt will feel like a real girly-girl.
